Ewha’s Department of Design was chosen as one of the “high potential” majors in a school project that designated and supported top ten majors showing the most promise. Since then, the Department of Design has spurred its efforts to improve its educational environment.
Through its specialized education program, the department seeks to nurture designers with the interdisciplinary skills to combine art and technology, an essential asset in the field of design.
Undergraduate Curriculum
Ewha’s Department of Design has established a specialized major system to respond to the advanced industrial changes brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Department of Design specializes in various fields, including visual design for expressing diverse images in objects and spaces, industrial design and spatial design for embedding experiences in physical objects and spaces, and media interaction design for representing interactive experiences based on digital media. As we enter the digital transformation era, there is an increasing demand for new design that integrates the real and virtual worlds.
Ewha Womans University's Design Department offers four majors to cultivate experts who can bring new design values to life. Upon admission, students will enter the design department and select their major during their second year.
