FACULTY
Hayeon Yoo
Industrial Design
Associate Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 407 02-3277-2057 hyoo@ewha.ac.kr
Professor Hayeon Yoo is a faculty member in the Industrial Design program at the College of Art and Design and the Design Management program at the Graduate School of Design at Ewha Womans University. She received an MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art (UK) and an MFA in Industrial Design from Ewha Womans University. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a UX and interaction designer at Samsung Electronics and Motorola, contributing to UX design and strategy for display and mobile products. Her current research explores the relationship between technology and human experience and psychology from the perspectives of intelligent experience design, design interactions, and critical design, and proposes plausible alternative experience design scenarios based on these insights.

HyeSun Lee
Industrial Design
Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 405 02-3277-3929 lhs@ewha.ac.kr
Professor Hyesun Lee is a faculty member of Industrial Design at the College of Art & Design and the Service Design program in the Graduate School of Design at Ewha Womans University. Her research focuses on design strategy and service design based on Design Thinking. She studied industrial design at Ewha Womans University and received both an MA in Industrial Design and an MS in Consumer Behavior from Purdue University. She previously worked in strategic design planning and product development at LG Electronics and Motorola Korea, and has collaborated with companies such as KT, GM Korea, Coway, Nongshim, and Samsung Electronics on product development and design strategy projects. Her recent research advances methods for problem definition and insight generation in Design Thinking, exploring service design approaches that integrate user experience, social context, and stakeholder interaction while responding to emerging digital technologies and evolving service environments.

Hyun Parke
Industrial Design
Assistant Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 404 02-3277-2510 bigfish@ewha.ac.kr
Hyun Parke is a designer, artist, and roboticist whose work investigates the complex entanglements between human agency, technology, and materiality. Working at the intersection of the computational nature of digital design and the physicality of designed objects, Parke challenges conventional design engineering paradigms by developing novel techniques and machines as well as embracing material precarity to uncover new forms of human-machine communication. He specializes in computational design, soft robotics, interactive technologies, and digital fabrication.
Parke received his M.S. in Art, Culture and Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2023) and his BFA in Designed Objects from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2008). After his graduate degree, he served as a Research Associate III at roBot Intelligence Group(BIG Lab) and the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University. His works have been exhibited internationally in museums and galleries, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea, Ars Electronica Center in Linz, Austria, and MIT.nano in Cambridge, MA, USA.
