PRESENTATION

The Fiber Art major aims to cultivate creative talent capable of encompassing the full spectrum of fiber art, craft, and design by integrating traditional fiber techniques with contemporary forms of expression. The core of the curriculum lies in combining a deep understanding of the physical properties of fiber with creative formative abilities.

This program explores textiles as a medium for contemporary visual art and conducts in-depth research into the principles of textile form and aesthetic value. In particular, by reinterpreting the aesthetic sensibilities of traditional culture through a modern lens and exploring new techniques and expressive possibilities, the program deepens each student’s spirit of formal experimentation and artistic expertise while simultaneously cultivating practical application skills.

Within a convergent curriculum that integrates theory and practice, and an autonomous creative environment, students build their own unique artistic worlds. Through this educational program, students acquire the convergent competencies demanded by the contemporary visual arts scene and the industrial sector, and upon graduation, they go on to pioneer diverse career paths that bridge art and industry, such as artists, designers, and researchers.
