Jeeun Lee
Spatial Design
Associate Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 503 02-3277-3717 jlee2023@ewha.ac.kr https://wasud.com/
Professor Jeeun Lee received her BFA in Spatial Design and MFA from Ewha Womans University, a Master of Architecture from Columbia University, and a PhD in Architecture and Architectural Engineering from Seoul National University.
Her research focuses on the creation of sustainable spatial environments and walkable urban design, with particular emphasis on spatial regeneration and the revitalization of existing urban contexts. Through both academic research and design practice, she explores strategies for enhancing everyday spatial experiences while responding to contemporary environmental and social challenges.
Before entering academia, Professor Lee worked at Studio Daniel Libeskind in New York, where she contributed to the design of large-scale mixed-use developments and commercial office complexes. She later founded her own design studio, leading a range of projects including the renovation of an office building in Gwanghwamun, the Laos World Heritage Exhibition Center, and the RE RH'EE flagship store in Myeong-dong.
In addition to her design practice, Professor Lee has served as principal investigator for multiple competitive research grants funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea, successfully completing projects at each stage of the national research career track (doctoral researcher, lecturer, and assistant professor). Her scholarly work has received several academic honors, including Best Paper Awards from the Urban Design Institute of Korea, the Architectural Institute of Korea, and the Korean Housing Association.

Jeong Ah Choi
Spatial Design
Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 507 02-3277-2516 hijeongah@ewha.ac.kr
Prof. Jeong Ah Choi is working for Spatial Design Major in Design Department. She has conducted scholarly research on spatial design for musesum and brand spaces. She graduated with a BFA and a MFA from Interior Environmental Design Major, Decorative Art Department, School of Arts & Design, Ewha Womans University, and also hold a MA degree from Visual Arts Administration, Steinhardt School of Education, New York University.

Yeon-Jung Kim
Spatial Design
Professor Art&Design Bldg. C 504 02-3277-3071 yeonkim@ewha.ac.kr
Professor Kim Yeonjeong investigates the universal principles and archetypes that form the foundation of design, examining the essential values of design that transcend time through diverse scholarly perspectives. Her research also explores human behavior, experience, and the aesthetics of space in depth, with a focus on developing creative, human-centered spatial design.
In recent years, she has actively integrated artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the design process, employing data-driven analysis and generative methods to expand the boundaries of design. Through this approach, she proposes forward-looking spatial paradigms that span from physical interior environments to virtual spaces, leading the development of personalized and adaptive spatial design strategies.
In addition, as a specialist in environmentally responsive planning for nuclear power plant environments, Professor Kim has successfully led numerous national and international projects. Her work has contributed to establishing new standards for public infrastructure design while advancing broader social value through design practice.
