Undergraduate Curriculum
Through an in-depth curriculum encompassing Painting, Drawing Workshop, Photography and Media, Painterly Printmaking, Painting and Visual Culture, Painting and New Technology, Contemporary Art Theory, Painting Workshop, Contemporary Painting Seminar, and Issues in Contemporary Art, the program cultivates a comprehensive understanding of art and advanced creative practice. Students are guided to develop sound critical perspectives within the context of contemporary art and to approach art with visionary insight. The program also pursues an open education through field-based learning — visiting, discussing, and researching exhibition spaces such as museums and commercial galleries.
